I like that trade for Detroit. What do other Flyers fans think?

Not trying to make a commentary on value, but the Blues aren't trading Parayko. He's too much of a unique asset they can't replace.

It is the same JvR trade over and over and over and over .....
Really hoping the next Philly offer will be creative and different.

Value wise, a Konecny-Parayko swap is fantastic. As Mokumboi said, Blues don't have anyone to replace him.

Agreed unless they attempted to go for Hamilton after but doubt that happens.

I don't feel like Philly and NJ are good trade partners they only asset that I could see philly being interested in is Severson and I don't think NJ is looking to move him

I'd be happy for Ghost to go to Detroit he fills a need here.

...But this offseason is special as Ghost will not be the only LD offered to Detroit (Gardiner is the other one) and Detroit will, of course, pick the deal that gives the best return.

The going rate seems to be a 2nd round pick per year for these types of players (see the Staal deal) and, how strangely it may sound, Pánik actually fills a short term need for Detroit.

If this was Ghost and two 2nd round picks I would call it a very fair deal. Unless Carolina offers more for us taking on Gardiner that is.

I think flyers add in maybe a 3rd this year to offset the salary difference, but can see wings also accepting as is. It's not bad

Not totally sure why folks view Mrazek as an asset when he's 29 and has a negative 11 GSAA for his career, sure 1Y2M$ maybe, but a deal like that?

Being good over only 12 games this past season

Means very little ultimately 😕

I don't think Philly will have to add that much to Ghost. I think there will be a team out there that values him enough to do close to a straight swap of contracts. He was really quite solid this year and by all accounts his work ethic was great. Averages 19-20mins per game and can play PP. All it takes is one team wanting him for their PP to make something reasonable happen.
