If we're going to trade for Seth Jones (Columbus will need a bit more, BTW) why not keep his little brother? I'm sure he'd be a great mentor. And it's a pretty cool situation, too: I don't believe two African-American brothers have ever played for the same NHL team before.
Toss Seattle a late round pick to take Benson or Lagesson.

That' be a cool story but i don't think caleb will fit on the team. Don't think we'll protect him. Unless we give up something to seattle for them to take koskinen or neal so we don't have to buy them out

I don't understand the rational to support sacrificing Benson in order to protect Jones. The Kraken are going to take an asset the Oilers would rather hang onto, why incentivize a player that fills a need in an area of organizational weakness in order to protect a player competing for ice time in an area of organizational strength?

That's only assuming we were goin\g to trade for Seth as you suggest and feel it's beneficial to have the brothers together. If not, then I agree - no need to toss Seattle anything in that situation.
