Thoughts on the trades? The value may be out of wack on some of them, more than likely the Toronto trade (the return for Amirov).

Value in each trade is off:
- Flyers need a top 4 RHD preferably an impact defensive d-man.
- Denisenko is a pretty good prospect I wouldn't give him up for Kessel, even tho he's still a great player, also Florida is more in need of another top 4 d-man.
- Kuemper isn't worth Amirov and the Leafs problem isn't in net Imo its with the BIG MONEY PLAYERS not showing UP! They need players that will show up in the playoffs.

Honestly I couldn't tell you but I can imagine it would be high for the coyotes. DVO is a great 2way center for the yotes while he may not be a true #1 center he's a top-end 2nd line center with his overall game. He's generally effective in the faceoff circle, plays both pk and pp and has shown sparks of pretty good offensive numbers (I believe he had 17 points through the first 16 games of the season) not mention he's on a pretty team friendly contract. With that said I can imagine GMBA would look to either get 1st or 2nd round pick, good prospect and (or) a proven NHLer, some sort of combination of that. But I doubt the coyotes would want to trade him in the first place.

Dvorak for 9th OA.

How would you feel about a deal built around those two pieces?

I think the 9th OA would likely even be an overpayment, so yes. Although with a lot of leagues being shut down this past season, this draft class is a little bit of a mystery so I wouldn't be surprised if GM's are more reluctant to trade assets/players for 1st round pick this draft. But it all depends what GMBA feels the direction of the team should, if he feels that there should be a complete tear down & rebuild, I'm positive he would accept that. But if he wants to keep the core of the team intact and go through a retool/revamp to keep the team competitive, DVO is one of those guys you would want to keep on your roster.

That makes a lot of sense, the direction that management takes will determine a lot. I'm not sure I'd be willing to move anything else from the Canucks that's close in value to 9th OA. Maybe a deal involving 3 separate pieces like you suggested (2nd + Gadjovich + something)

Out of curiosity what would the Oilers offer that is better than Amirov? He's arguably a top-20 prospect and better than any Oilers prospect

I'm not fully aware of the Canucks' prospects so I wouldn't be able to say much in that department but if the a deal were to include a 2nd round pick I would think a prospect (mid-tier or higher) would be involved or potentially another player just as productive (more of a hockey trade).

I would say Holloway, Bouchard and Broberg would all be on par or better then Amirov, I would say the oilers offer would be this yrs first something the Yotes desperately want plus a tier two prospect.

The problem with this is that you undervalued many UFA salaries. Also, I honestly think you would find it hard for them to go to Arizona. Moreover, there has been good reporting on Arizona listening on guys like Garland- partially because they want to rebuilt, and partially because they will not spend. I imagine they will aim for 15mil under the cap.
