Retool this offseason and comeback with a fresh start

Created by: Dekes
Team: 2021-22 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 10, 2021
Published: Jun. 10, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
- we need a a top LHD graves and ekholm could be options due to expansion and Nashville also maybe going into a retool year
- thank you krecji, rask you were great but it’s time to move on, I’m assuming either way rask will get surgery and end up retiring and going back home to Finland to focus on his family , maybe plays in liiga and World Cup/ olympics.
- Debrusk and Ritchie were pretty useless see what you can get in return for them plus maybe adding
-depending on who we lose in expansion will decide where we gotta focus on replacing
- I wanna see stud and Freddy full time, we need to develop our prospects, Vaakanainen in aswell if he isn’t traded
-hope Bergeron or Marchand don’t fall off a lot and try not to rely as much on the first line in playoffs again
- give stud hall and someone else on the RW, sometimes you gotta throw the kid into the wolves that’s what they did with pasta, mcavoy, Carlo and look how that turned out
-give Carlo 5 mill for 2-3 yr bridge deal, with his possible concussion issues bruins won’t lock up long term until we figure out if this will be something long term or if a offseason rest will fix everything maybe he just needed more time to recover
-bruins sign lots of 1-3 yr contracts that will be movable, save up for 2022 free agency and throw everything we got at barkov or couturier to replace bergy and the 1st line Center role maybe this time we will get lucky unlike Tavares choosing toronto over us

COL
  1. DeBrusk, Jake
  2. Vaakanainen, Urho
  3. 2022 2nd round pick (BOS)

I wouldn’t target Graves if looking for offensive defenseman. If can get Hall to come back for a little less, skip signing Palmieri and target Danault for somewhere in the 7-8 range. A 1/2 punch of Bergeron and Danault would be real tough on opposing teams to try and get scoring chances

I think grzz and mcavoy can handle the offensive load to me Boston needs to become more physical and defensively aware and that’s what graves brings, I would also like ekholm as he brings a great 2 way game. I would love danault but I just can’t see him playing in Montreal and then also Boston, bruins need depth scoring and idk if danault would bring that, but he would definitely make it hard for team have him and Bergeron being able to lock up almost every Center in the league. As for the palmieri signing he just always has had Boston’s number so atleast if he’s on our team that’s one less guy to worry about consistently putting the puck in our net

I think we should go veteran wise when it comes to goalies to help develop Swayman and Vladar while being consistent.

No, no, no, no... You can't just replace Krecho with a fringe NHL player and expect this team to have success. Krech does so many things under the radar. Must keep him around, or otherwise you are going for a full rebuild.

Graves DeBrusk would make a lot of sense for a trade if both teams want to switch it up post XD. I think you are over paying to get him there.
The 2nd with DeBrusk and Vaakanainen is overkill but Avs would take that no problem

Yes but stud playing with hall and palmieri would surely speed up his development if he is under performing switch him and coyle, coyle flashed some great skill in playoffs it’s a shame his wingers were a bunch of pylons most the playoffs. Coyle was was a consistent 40-50 point scorer I’ll take that for my second line Center until we find a true replacement

Agreed Coyle would do really good with wingers not named Nick Ritchie (who is elite doe. Sexy 15 goals?!?!).
