Reworking the D

Created by: Grapevine

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
You’re living in a fantasy world if you think we are getting someone like Hamilton as a UFA. The biggest UFAs are not coming to Winnipeg. We have to get creative with this blue line problem and if that means taking on a young guy who was bought out then that’s worth it. I would go after either Ghost or Deangelo if they’re bought out. Either could be signed on the cheap to a short term deal and if they regain their game it’s an absolute steal. I don’t want to hear about Deangelo’s off ice life. He isn’t a criminal he just needs to stay off Twitter (good advice for everyone).

DeAngelo does not fit in that room with Wheeler being an outspoken Liberal and DeAngelo a hard nosed Conservative. People change and put differences aside, but in my opinion its not a good idea. Besides, the Jets dont need another offensive minded Dman they need a bigger and stronger who is defensively sound.

I actually don’t think we buy him out. We won’t need the cap space this year but the following year we will and won’t want his buyout on the books

I’m not sure why you’d want Johnson without getting anything else as a sweetener.

Absolutely delusional on both the ARI and NYI trades. Why don’t we offer them a 7th rounder in 2029 for Pulock and Chychrun??

Real adults go to work and shut their mouths. If they can’t handle it then both can hit the road. And yes we can’t create anything from the blueline, so we do need a creative player back there
