If, big if, Anaheim wants to trade for Eichel they have to include an A list prospect. Right now there are two choices, Drysdale or Zegras. The Sabres are going to loose every trade imaginable trading eichel no matter what, but for an elite C, you have to give up an A Prospect. To even start the conversation. I'm asking for an A prospect, B prospect, C prospect and two firsts. I'm taking back a bad player contract with 3 years term as well to help offset costs. Zegras is really good but no one knows how he will be in the future. Eichel is top 5 C in the league now, an MVP candidate the year before, and even hurt this year was playing as one of the best two way defensive C's in the league. I don't think that trade is an issue. Now the Calgary could be stretch and I'll give that might not work.
The Gretsky Haul...On Aug. 9, 1988, the Oilers, just two months removed from lifting the Stanley Cup, sent Gretzky, Marty McSorley and Mike Krushelnyski to the Kings in exchange for Jimmy Carson, Martin Gelinas, Los Angeles’ first-round draft picks in 1989, 1991 and 1993, as well as $15 million in cash. My mock isn't even close to that haul. Carson was 2nd overall 2 years prior. In Carsons first two years in the NHL, he was the most productive, more than almost any player in league history, recording 92 goals and 186 total points at only 19 years old. Gelinas was 18 and the 7th overall pick the year prior. Plus 3 firsts, and 15 million in cash...So I think you're slightly mistaken on that
