Pittsburg gets the shakeup they need while getting one of the best young players in the game (best young defender). Johnson and Burakovsky are basically there just for cap reasons. Make sense for Colorado since they now clear cap space for guys like Landeskog and McKinnon.

What I like about this trade is the thought that arguably the best team in the NHL needs to trade their best young piece in a sort of rebuild style trade for multiple firsts, but are for some reason getting Malkin on a decline so they can I guess, half asses keep going for it but worse, but have picks, but the picks are worse because Makar is better now than Malkin so Pit will do better and the picks will suffer.

So it's a lose, lose... lose.... lose, lose, lose for Colorado and a win but not a crazy win for Pit.

This is why people should not make trades involving teams they like. And btw I didn't look, you just have to be a Penguins fan. There's no other option here.

Well, Pittsburg could be trash any season. You could get a very high pick as we saw with the Duchene trade with the avs and the sens. Trading Makar would not be a good decision for anything but all of this is considering that all these players are actually available for trade, like we're seeing with Eichel.

I bet you didn't like the Weber for Subban trade, but that worked out well didn't it?

So, you've made it obvious your a PIT fan between this trade and the Nylander for Letang trade.

All you're doing is trying to dump 2 high salaries, for top end players. PIT could trade COL their entire roster and all their draft picks and still not have enough to land Makar,

I didn't think, I knew the Subban trade was good for Montreal when it happened and I said so. It still is and never wasn't. Don't listen to this clown he's just deflecting. Has no leg to stand on.

It's part of the reason I knew I was right on the Anderson Domi trade because Montreal fans never know what's good for them.
