Put yourself in LA’s shoes for a minute here. Why on God’s earth would they take that deal?

Hyman gets term and more.
Hall is only signing where he gets term this time he has said.
Hamilton the Leafs cannot afford. Look at your long term outlook... no way is this working.

Yeah every mock trade is unrealistic in the sense, but I think if you can get a team Canada D in Rielly to play behind McDavid that the Oilers would jump at that. Plus you keep your best D prospect in Bouchard.

OMG, with the way Hamilton is a different kind of character person & kind of Hockey player (like Kessel, Kind of). I would love to see the media & fans crush him up there, would make for another funny Leafs year.

I'd argue Marner is worth Turcotte and Kaliyev, and Dermott is similar value to Thomas. Kings get a top 5 scoring winger in the league and keep Byfield. I'd be surprised if the Kings kept all their prospects considering the age of Doughty and Kopitar.

Kings wont keep all their prospects, but they definitely will keep Kaliyev and Turcotte.

no way you'd sign any player for 8 years at 1M a year lol,

Hyman isn't going to be only 3.5M either if the rumor's are true about him turning down 5 M a year,

why would Perry sign with the leafs?

and realistically the only 8 year term contract that would happen is maybe Hamilton

If Edmonton lets Barrie walk they would probably take that, especially if they want to convince McDavid to stick around, they need to shake some things up, and bringing in a great leader and solid defenceman in Reilly would be a great start. Broberg is a great defensive prospect but I don't think he will come close to what Reilly has been throughout his career. Don't think the Leafs go for it though unless they are 100% positive they are signing Hamilton.

Too many long term contracts though those players will be playing into their mid-late 30s and lets face it most of them probably won't be anywhere near what they are right now (also free agency is max 7 years btw). Galchenyuk would never take that anyways, he will probably bet on a bounce back year once again then demand a raise afterwards.

Hyman gets more (5.5 imo), doubt Hall or Perry sign in Toronto

We definitely do, but then we would have at least two offensive defence men, and Broberg is going to be good.

Three players with seven-year horizons for one VERY expensive guy whose contract will expire just as we are becoming regular contenders. No, thanks.

I wasn't really looking at years. They're all random.
