Description

Jones makes the team out of camp, Lundqvist and Schneider start in the AHL and one of them comes up for Smith when ready. No big acquisitions or signings. Rangers take on a cap dump from Vancouver for assets.

Yes I know this flies in the face of what Dolan says he wants. But this team below looks like a playoff team to me.

The Eriksson trade is fair but the Canucks still don't do it. Only contending teams trade high picks to dump cap

But fine, replace him with the EDM goalie or anyone else who is a 1 year expiring terrible cap hit between 4-6m for similar assets in return. My basic point in this AGM is that the Rangers in a lowkey off season would have a mountain of cap next season, and would be foolish to not weaponize it.
