The picks for Reinhart are nice….
But the Sabres are gonna get a bunch of futures back in the Eichel trade most likely
So they’re probably gonna look for more of a “hockey trade” type deal for Reinhart
    Just a guess though

Reinhart likely goes for TDL proces so this is a competitive offer. Sabres can always flip those pieces for immediate help if they want to try to avoid a full rebuild. Risk is that it gets outbid as there really isn't one great piece.

Idk if the Flyers have to add any notable picks to that, I think both players benefit both teams very well

I only hope Buffalo can keep Sam and Jack long term.
So I am not in favor of the trades I see on this site.
But let's presume they both get moved.
I would make this Jack trade: https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/2466165 and get Tkachuk, and 2021 1st round pick (CGY)
While Gostisbehere does not fill a need at LHD the picks would be nice having 3 among the first 14 in this years draft.
My brilliant son pointed out to me that top forwards for Vegas and Montreal are wingers, so maybe Buffalo could win without a top center.
    Our lines could be:
    Tkachuk Cozens Skinner
    Olofsson Free Agent Bjork
    Asplund Mittelstadt Thompson
    Girgensons Ruotsalainen Okposo
Buffalo would have 3 picks among the top 14 and five the top 46 coupled with Boston's 2021 second round pick.

All that said, I would rather keep Sam and Jack, but maybe the losing culture is too deep now and everything must go.

I think the “losing culture is likely too deep” as you put it
Sucks to get rid of such good players like Jack & Sam, but i unfortunately think we need a rebuild

I like the idea of bringing in Matt Tkachuk, but I’d TRY to get him for Reinhart
And Ottawa supposedly was VERY high on Quinn in the last draft (rumored to have been considering taking him at pick5),
so I’d try to trade him for Brady Tkachuk
*add in Olofsson- or whatever else needed

Then build around the Tkachuk bros.

    If we can do that….
    *ok, that’s a big “IF” i know
But then getting a bundle of “futures” for Jack won’t be as big of a deal- just make sure 1 part of it is a really good Center prospect

I know that trading Jack & Sam likely means we suck again for the next 2years or so, but at least there’s some Eichel-level talent at the top of the ‘22 & ‘23 drafts…. so maybe we get lucky getting a great guy or 2 back that way
Plus, we have 1oa this season

Again, sucks we gotta go through all this again
But i feel like the Jack & Sam led group just isn’t improving
    I don’t think it’s on them….
But it’s also clearly not working for us
So my overall though is (being realistic….)
Try to get a couple of Tkachuk-like players to guide the next “young core” so they aren’t thrown to the wolves like Jack & Sam were

*and get some decent goaltending in here ffs too!!!

That’s how I’m DREAMING it all works out anyways

I would love to get a tougher team in here.
If Adams could get Brady Tkachuk for Quinn and Olofsson, I would consider him a candidate for GM of the year.

Every year one of the Buffalo GM's makes move which lead me to think the team will finally at least be in the hunt until the middle of March.

But Adams without scouts is doomed to fail.
Every three years we get rid of the previous GM's players and bring in new ones. So we move out Sam, Jack, Rasmus and hope we improve.

    Olofsson scores more than Brady,
and Quinn has potential to score more than either
I think it would be quite an overpayment
But i don’t think Ottawa wants to move Brady,
so it would likely take that type of an overpayment to get him

My hope is that Brady wants too much $$$,
    so they consider moving him
He’s only a 20ish goal guy who doesn’t get a lot of assists
Might top out as a 50point a year player
