It would be cool to reunite the McLeod brothers but the Devils aren't trading Foote

This AGM feels like the train I'm on currently

It teeters a bunch but stays on the rails all told

Oh wait Korpisalo and a non elite rookie as the goalie duo I spoke too soon (korpisalo career .905 goalie 😑) and hope it doesn't mirror any train trip ultimately

Konecny is the best player in the trade by a margin

I wouldn't do that Edmonton trade without something more coming back. Edmonton would have to mitigate the risk of taking a player who hasn't played in the NHL yet for one who is well established.

Broberg is an intriguing piece, but Bertuzzi is already proven. Broberg++ is the price.

Broberg is a top prospect but Detroit already have 6 good LD prospects, 4 newly signed and 2 more still unsigned.

Bertuzzi has much, much more value to Detroit than a 7th LD prospect does.

Broberg or Holloway + 2022 1st is what Detroit would need to move Bert

Buffalo likely blocks your number, no one is taking a combined nearly 10 mil cap hit for multiple years.

I've watched him play since he was 10 years old, I know how good he is.

The point is that Albert Johansson is 3rd in a list of good young Swedish defenders, Broberg is 2nd (behind Dahlin).

With Johansson, Viro, Sebrango, McIsaac, Wallinder, and Kotkansalo already in Detroit you don't trade away one of your top players to get yet another LD.

You don't trade away something you're short of to get something you already have plenty of. To do so would be gross mismanagement of your resources.
