Lamdeskog would be huge for TOR. Would be able to help lead them to a 2nd round exit.

Who would even want to play for the leafs nowadays? They can’t even get past the first round. At the very least the Sabres are extremely consistent in not making the playoffs.

How many first round series have the Leafs been favoured in that they haven’t been able to win? Feels like all of them

If WSH can move Dillon and Schultz, they could line up Fehervary-Carlson, Orlov-Jensen, Rielly, Alexeyev/Van Riemsdyk/LaDue/whoever. Why not Rielly with Carlson on the top pair? Because Carlson seems to score more when he knows someone is covering behind him so he can rush the puck. Same with Orlov. Is there some value in having a top puck mover on each pair? Absolutely. And moving Vanecek before expansion makes sense. Do you have ideas for how the Caps turn Dillon and Schultz into a replacement or two for Eller? Or prospects?

Probably get Seattle to take one of Dillon, Schultz, Orlov. Sign one of Bozak or Bonino for 3C or put McMichael there. Could also trade Kuzy for more depth

Orlov and Carlson are getting protected. Not sure who else. Agree SLE probably grab a Dillon or Schultz, once the goalie choice is narrowed, but probably not both.

Trading Kuznetsov for a center is difficult because the center you get back probably isn't as good. Not sure that solves having just three centers, unless it opens up cap to overpay a Danault or RNH... who also might not be quite as good as Kuznetsov at scoring points.

I like Danault as a 2C until McMichael is ready for a top 2C spot and then Danault goes to 3C.
