    I disagree, I think I'd take that.

They're the only team that should accept here. All the other proposals are tilted way too much in PIT's favour.

I've seen Legare in penguins trades so I thought he was just a throw in

Nah, he's their second best prospect, and maybe nearly on par with Samuel Poulin. He could be a regular 20 goal guy if he hits the expected ceiling.

Probably pens most legit forward prospect.
Smaller than our Nate, but probably just as physical and can shoot better.

Not really. Guentzel is far superior than Laine. Guentzel is over a ppg player signed to a team friendly deal relatively long term. Laine is going to get similar money for far less production. A 2nd doesn’t make up that difference.
A starting goalie on a team friendly contract, bottom 6 forward and a 3rd round pick for a late 1st is a pretty solid deal. Especially since the pens are bringing in replacements that are far worse than Jarry. Jarry had a few bad games in the playoffs. It happens to everybody. People need to stop acting like the guy wasn’t an all star last year and that he rebounded from an absolutely awful start. The guy was the reason the pens won the division. And I highly doubt any team would consider it fair value to trade a young top 4 LHD on a great long term contract for a much older pending UFA LHD that’s on the downswing of his career and will likely plummet in a year or 2, if not sooner. The 2nd isn’t bad but to take on that cap that we could just trade MP for a 2nd and use the cap space to find better than Gio via free agency or another trade. Not that we’d need it since it only blocks POJ.
