Description
Kuzy waives NMC to buffalo if sammy is a part of the package. Buffalo main piece is sammy as he is the goalie of the future for buffalo. Caps get younger with Eichel down the middle to grow with tommy and mantha.

Jersey gets a good OFD for a cheap pick.

Seattle needs to hit cap floor and gets a solid top 4 D man and Pk specialist with hags for an intriguing D prospect.

Only way it works is a third team takes kuzy giving sabres more assets, there'd have to be at least on first round pick from caps in the package as well

I agree that there needs to be a first round pick in there for sure. I feel like a three way trade might make it more likely that Kuznetsov is involved. He might waive for Buffalo if Samsonov goes there too though. Also, I feel like Buffalo might not want Alexyev since they’ll already have Dahlin and Power on the left side. I’d send them Lapierre instead if we needed to. McMichael, and Protas are plenty down the middle for the future and we can sacrifice Lapierre if we’re getting Eichel.

Could be a three way trade possibility with minnesota? Giving buffalo maximum return for draft capital and prospects and minnesota kuznetsov to play with kaprisov? I debated on the first round pick, id throw it in if buffalo made that the only reasoning to not accept of course.

Almost feel like if eichel is 100% traded they draft beniers and not powers? imagine a 1-2 of Cozens and beniers going forward with samsonov...deadly team in a few years for sure. I want the caps to hang onto lapierre and mcmichael until we have a better picture of their value, but i do agree we can sacc one if we get eichel 100%

Beniers definitely is another option. Buffalo should be looking at the highest impact player not for year 1, but for the long term. Really weird that this year there’s no clear cut number 1.

I think the consensus is power is the pick. I hope adams is shooting for high end forward prospects as the main value pieces coming back. We dont need d prospects (especially the left handed kind) and not interested in a goalie as part of an eichel return.

i almost feel like buffalo is restarting the whole rebuild process with trading eichel. Why i thought they would give LA a good look...get the first round pick this year and take powers/beniers with wellstedt. Dont think ullmark or ukko is the future in net for the sabres tbh

I dont want my team spending prime assets on a goalie, if the roster has that many holes, fill those first.

Devils get tons of veteran d-men-for-late-pick type deals on here.
Schultz may be one that is worthwhile

I'm impressed - these trades and signings are not all totally insane and the team still has cap space for an extra forward and defenseman. I might quibble over Kempny vs. Dillon, and I'm with the others that Kuzy probably gets moved somewhere else for a low-end 1st to go to Buffalo as part of a three-team trade, but that's about it. Nicely done!

Appreciate the feedback! I'm a bit biased with Dillon i know a lot of people like him but i cant stand him LOL. Really think the caps should make serious push for Eichel it makes so much sense for us.
