Caps Habs hopeful trade

Description
KK for Kuzy is more of a long term project for the caps but drouin is a huge wildcard...i think he under performed in MTL due to media, under less of a spotlight he thrives. Freddy for 2M might be a pipedream but i think hes a good goalie id love for the caps to take a run at him.

Also Hags cant score thus why i put him in expansion instead of dillon lol...sheary on the 4th line shows depth and can score on that line.

kuzy is great. but for his age and his cap, i wouldn't even trade Kk 1 for 1 for him. esp considering KK is only 20.

Habs are in a weird spot with weber price and the older core of the team...kuzy is an immediate upgrade on KK and with the divisions going back to normal next year making playoffs will tough for the habs. I think kuzy needs out from his russian teammates tbh its not so much an attitude problem...keep in mind 32 points in 2018 playoffs.

Cap concerns is why i tossed in drouin and his 5.5 cap

sure, they are. but they arent selling the farm to win today. price still has that playoff window for another 2-3 years. if they trade KK, it'll be for a 22-24 year old elite talent. someone like seth jones or even part of a package for eichel. now if you want to talk drouin and poehling + picks for kuzy, thats something mtl can do.

Keep in mind 2018 was 4 playoffs ago and since then he's done nothing. He's overpaid for what he produces and he's only declining. Montreal's not gonna be interested.

Wow. If I thought Kotkaniemi could get Seth Jones I wouldn't want to trade him for a weak #1C who once tried drugs, either.

KK one for one may not get jones, just consdering how many bidders they'll be out there. and dude theres no reason to attack the guy. hes an elite player and he'll make any team better.

I don’t think caps fans are recognizing the full value that Kotkaniemi has. It just doesn’t make sense for them to trade him for Kuzy, especially after how he’s performed in the playoffs. I don’t blame Habs fans for not wanting to trade him away for what other caps fans have offered.
