absolutely 0 chance malkin is traded. especially with his recent surgery teams would be taking a risk and the pens would likely get little value in return

Svechnikov played well his last time up. I think Detroit would prefer to keep him now that they have room for him on the roster.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Malkin, but I believe that the pens are better without him on the ice/on the roster. It has been 2 seasons in a row where he has been injured for a period of time and the pens are better without him, and when he comes back they get worse. I agree that his value may be low right now, but anything above two 2cnds I would take

I thought so as well and I'd love to see him stay but I have no idea how Yzerman feels about him.

1 No one is trading for Geno

2 I’m probably one of the few willing to trade Jake but that’s not a good return for him

3 How many times has Svechnikov cleared waivers? He isn’t worth giving up a pick for

Trading Guentzel and replacing him with Zach Hyman and thinking it makes this team any closer to better is hilarious
