Hawks don’t touch that trade. Other than to gift the leafs a skilled 3rd line center, I couldn’t see a potential motive for Chicago.

Ullmark will get more than that.

Not sure if Strome is who Toronto needs and I’m pretty sure Chicago would never say yes to that offer.

I think what Toronto really needs is a center that can play a shutdown role and kill penalties. I know the team is more offensively focused but a defensive forward would go a long way in improving their team. Finding the right player is the challenge.

Andrew Copp. With us wanting to trade Rielly and Winnipeg needing a puck moving dman there should be mutual interest.

He would, but for teams chasing him I think it’s a bad move. Buffalo has the same goalie coach as Pittsburgh did back in 2016 and 2017. That goalie coach was credited for making Matt Murray in the monster he was. The second he left Murray was never the same. I fear that with Ullmark as that Buffalo goalie coach make Michael Houser look good.

Chicago doesn't touch that trade, much less give up a 3rd

Be that as it may, the Leafs won't be able to sign him for what you have said. There are a few goalies I have some concerns about on the UFA market. Buyer beware
