If it costs the Habs a 1st as well, then it's not worth it. Now a 2nd I could see.

I think he can be top 4, top pairing is a little ambitious but I felt most comfortable putting him with Carlson.

Drouin is an even bigger wildcard than Kuzy with less production. Kuzy may not always give 100% but he likely a lock for 60 points next year which Drouin has never scored.

Also with Montreal making it to at least the semis, I figure their first round pick does not have as much value as usual

Drouin needs a change out of La Belle Provence and then lets see what he can do. He had only 3 years in with TB at the time he was traded to Montreal and on the rise. Just imagine what he could have doe there with that group around him. We could really use a Sergachev!
Strictly in terms of age and current contracts a 1st would be off the table. If you can find value in a 5th round player such as Gallagher, then a late 1st is nothing to just give away IMO.

That’s way too much of an ask for Eichel given his injuries. You gotta be a little realistic. This trade offer is pretty much what you’re gonna get for Eichel IMO.

Not doing it because that's a terrible trade for the Capitals.
