No thanks from LA. Zero interest in Drouin and Kempe is worth more than what is almost a 2nd round pick in next month's draft.

Kaiden Guhle was a 16th overall pick in 2020 Draft and is highly regarded, I don't think his addition should be overlooked.

Let me just say, I am a Montreal Fan and I have been frustrated with Drouin. That being said, I believe he has value as a complimentary offensive piece in a top 6. He puts up numbers and has strong playmaking skills. Surrounded properly he can add a lot of offense. However in Montreal the expectations were that he would be dominant, which he is not. He's got two years left on not the worse deal and I believe Drouin can bounce back in an environment that has much less pressure and scrutiny from the media.

    Thanks for the input,

As recently evidenced by Toffoli, players who produce elsewhere generally are stifled in LA's defensive-first system. Essentially reduce all point totals by 30% if you play in LA. Guys that are struggling offensively elsewhere are not going to succeed in LA. While I don't disagree that Drouin could do well with a change of scenery, I don't think that would be the case in LA. I don't think he would do well.

You're right about Guhle. For some reason I mistook him with Anaheim's Brendan Guhle, who is significantly more underwhelming. That changes things a bit. Drop Drouin from the trade, and swap out the 2021 1st with the 2022 1st and I think LA would go for it.

I understand your point of view now on Drouin and the playing style in LA, that makes sense and it would probably serve him better to be on a more offensive minded team.

Thank you again for your input,
