Laine gets 5 million. 7 million seems a little much espically after the season he had. Could be wrong but thats my opinion

Feels like JVR to NJ for a third has been on this site since the day after he signed that contract. If it was going to happen, shouldn't it have happened by now?

If they can’t trade Jake, buy him out. Coots is then resigned. Biggest problem here is no way Seth Jones resigns if you have Dougie on PP1. Both won’t work.

You don't buy out a top 6F just because he is a couple mil overpaid tears of joy

No one is touching him with that cap hit and term in a flat cap world unless you pay them too. And in this scenario, you buy him out to keep Coots or eat salary and move him.

Also becomes a hell of a lot more valuable when you pay his final signing bonus next year.

Or, we just don't worry about 1 of the 2 D and not have to eat a bunch of dead cap...

He has a starting QO of 7.5 Million. So this doesn’t even work.

How come both don't work? Jones can be put on the PP in a pinch if needed or can take over the PP2 spot from Provy and have Provy concentrate on the PK and his normal usage of minutes. Or if Ghost isn't here, it could be Provy and Jones on the PP, can even switch them both around and have them on their off hand so shots always filter thru the middle. That wouldn't be bad at all.

I already said I don’t think both work. Top end offensively gifted D men dont want PP2 time.

They are more flexible with their cap then it appears. Voracek for 2 years of 10 mill of real money is moveable.
