I really like the Sabres trade in how it puts this draft into perspective in that yeah the top two are probably going to be Caufield level assets at the end of the day

Idk it just seems odd to be so derisive given it's literally a 1st overall pick and Caufield -granted quite excellent- isn't like Elias Pettersson or someone

Buffalo would not make that trade one for one. Caufield is a good starting point, but Montreal would have to add one more young asset at least to make that happen.

I'm fine with Power he did not look out of place playing with and against men, nobody wants to make the Hedman comparison but nobody will be surprised if he is a number 1 pair d-man in a few years either - not to take anything away from Caufield who's has filthy offense.
