You're a tough cookie! You have (4) ELCs getting tremendous experience right now. Its not his fault the rest of the north was built for the regular season.

Cayden Primeau, Guhle, Mysak and Poehling are awesome prospects to have. Extra picks in the draft too!

Let's be honest here, the first round victory over Toronto likely saved his job. The team spent in the top 5 of money last off-season and marginally improved. This is not a final 4 team. Realistically they had a 7 game winning streak against 2 teams that were missing top 15 centres in the league. Chances are if both of Tavares and Schiefele played their series, you're likely not sitting here talking about Montreal.

They finished 18th in the league only a year after finishing 24th. The last 2 seasons they've only made the playoffs because of COVID and rearranging the format in both years. Otherwise this has been a lottery team with and overpaid, overrated goalie, aging defence corps that can barely skate, and a forward depth that consists of maybe 2 lines that are a threat. They're nothing special.

The Drouin trade = Tell us something we don't know!
Tatar has been good for the Habs until now but he won't be back next season unless the Habs can't find another LW.

He only has one year left on his deal I think they would have given him 1 more year to determine what they wanted to do. MTL did beat PIT in the bubble too...so it's not like this playoff run came out of no where. Yes, PIT was atrocious, but this is how it goes sometimes. His team has always been prepared to play hard. They've won 3 playoff series in 2 years. It's worth something. I tend to think MTL's stock is going up too.
