Lets Keep the Rebuild Simple

Created by: P1zzaPolarBear

Description
Once again, another attempt to try and rebuild this team. I usually get some heat for my trades, so I kept them simple and fair. Through Trades and Signing, I tried to build a younger core, and acquire more draft picks for a better Future as well. Hopefully I did better this time around, and I hope you all enjoy. If you have any feedback, let me know, always open to it, and If you want an explanation for any of the Trades let me know as well. Also, side note, I was originally going to have Owen Power on this list, but since he want's to go back to college I decided to leave him out for now.

Heh. Just for starters, you'd be paying to dump Okposo. Even with this retention.

    Nice job.

I wonder what Flyers think of that trade but not bad for BUF.

I don't think Saad or Danault are signing in BUF but it would change next seasons outlook for sure.

Okposo trade is a maybe? At this point they might as well just keep him until it expires.

That's also a fair point. Just for fun, do you have a counter offer by chance?

Honestly, I wouldn't risk a lot on Eichel. His neck injury is very concerning to me. For me it would be Patrick, 2022 1st, JVR or Voracek and either Ghost or a 2nd or 3rd round pick. Need JVR or Voracek to even the cap hit.

Washington would need a massive asset coming back to take on Okposo even with 2m retained. i would guess Peterka or Quinn + picks... it will cost a lot for Washington to eat 4m x 2y esp in a dead cap era

Yeah, probably should just keep Okposo.

Jackets would rather move one of foudy or bemstrom or korpi. I don’t think you get tex on top of a first and second.

I don't think its too much to get a player like Eichel, your right though his injury is concerning so its a risk. The main loss is TK out of this even though he had a down year, the year prior he looked like the flyers best forward. Patrick is a total gamble and contributed 9 points last year, Flyers won't miss him. Ghost was on waivers at one point so it shows how much the management values him, he bounced back nicely after that though. Frost is still a complete unknown as to what his ceiling is, too early to tell.

Not interested in losing Texier to get Reinhart. I have more faith in Tex's ability to be a quality center going forward than I do in Reinhart's ability to be a C instead of a RW.
