Barzal is probably in the top 15-20 C’s league wide and no way I would trade him for laine.

QO is only if an extension isn't agreed on beforehand

If he signs two consecutive QO's he makes $15 million over that 2 year period, as opposed to the OP's $12 million spread over 3 years.

I can see Laine signing a QO (irrespective of team) to bet on himself so the following year he can cash in.

He's actually done the exact opposite.
