Winnipeg isn't giving up assets to take on a cap dump.

I think you overvalued Zucker and undervalued Rust. The signings are a bit off as well

Blueger- $2,000,000 - $2,500,000
Gaudreau- $1,000,000 - $1,250,000
Oleksiak- $3,250,000 - $3,750,000
Hyman- $5,500,000 - $6,000,000

Does Rust play his off wing at all (and does he do it well)? Edmonton's need is much greater at LW than RW. Not sure why Pittsburgh would be looking to dump a guy like Rust who's on a decent contract while they're playing out the end of their window? The Edmonton side is probably equivalent to 2x 2nds and a 3rd, Pittsburgh might be more interested in a quality rather than quantity return.

No, rust is not comparable value wise to guentzel. I know that EDM needs LW more than RW, but if guentzel were traded for that low of value Hextall would be fired on the spot.

Zucker likely has Winnipeg on his 10 team no trade list too.

If you think Rust is worth any single piece in that deal let alone all 3 you just described yourself not me.

Hextall will be fired anyways. #1 reason teams who had a run as contenders take so long to rebuild is because they try to hold on to their glory days for way too long. And Lemieux would rather watch his team be mediocre for the next decade than suck it up and be happy with wining 3 cups in 9 years and move in from Crosby/Malkin. The best move for both the team and Crosby would be to trade him let him go to a team that’s built to win now and start the rebuild. If he really want to retire a penguin he can sign a 1 year deal and maybe the pens could be somewhat competitive in 4 years and he can try and get another one there before he leaves.

6 million for Hyman...there is no way he's making 6. That's a huge mistake for any team signing that.

I agree, but that's his asking price, stupid but that's how it is. He'll probably ask for less once he realizes nobody's gonna sign him lmao.

Since the most agreed upon price for rust is a 1st and a B+ prospect you just have shown your knowledge of Rust. Before you say or ask where that is check other hockey trade sites like HFboards
