They won’t do it, but St. Louis should rebuild.

You can’t rebuild when you have Faulk, Krug and soon Parayko signed into their 30s

I think it would be a good fit. ROR gets the defensive matchups and Eichel gets the easy offensive matchups

Their timeline is screwed up. They aren’t going to be bad, but not a threat to win the cup.

Just the way it should have been and should still be in Buffalo.

Very easy decline for BUF. I don't see STL having the assets BUF would want.

That’s exactly what Buffalo would want. A replacement so they don’t absolutely suck to death, 2 good young players and a 1st. You’re underrating Robert Thomas, he’s another Necas

Agree with @csick here. Blues can't afford to rebuild with those contracts. However, they should do what I've been suggesting for awhile now which is to retool much like Boston did for a couple of years. It worked out great for them. They got Pasta, McAvoy, Carlo, Kuraly, DeBrusk etc. Then with Bergeron and Marchand, Tuukka, Krecji, and Chara (before last year) they were able to keep competing. Blues would take more manipulation because of guys like Schenn, Krug and Faulk, but they could do it.

I wouldnt touch it if I was BUF. We dont need LHD, especially if we're drafting Power. Any potential Thomas has will not come to here, and i don't think he's very impressive regardless. Schenn doesnt fit their time line and the 1st is a mid round pick in a very weak draft. I think that deal is closer to getting you Reinhart then Eichel.

Buffalo wouldn't want Schenn, and Schenn wouldn't waive his NTC for Buffalo. So that's a no go. If the Blues were to trade for Eichel, it would take:
Thomas
Dunn
Kostin
Hofer or Ellis
2021 1st
2022 1st.

The reason the Blues would have to give up so much is because their first rounders are late. It would be too much for the Blues to give up. Unless they dealt ROR back to Buffalo but don't see that happening.

I mean ROR gets bumped down to 2C once again, I dont think that sits well with him having that done to him once again

Not interested. And Sabres fans talking about how the Blues should rebuild are hilarious.

Exactly...if ROR isn't the top dog he will want out. He was behind Duchene and weaseled his way out, then behind Eichel and weaseled his way out.
