Detroit declines. They don't need anymore RHD's and If they trade Bertuzzi it will be for a center or a LHD or both.

Detroit actually need waiver exempt RD. There's only Seth Barton in Grand Rapids and Tuomisto is in college until 2024. Nothing else on that side prospect-wise.

But you're right about the trade, it's nowhere near to what Detroit would want to accept.

Amirov is a high end prospect, the value is definitely fair its just a matter of if Detroit wants to move Bertuzzi for futures or young roster players. Liljegren could play in the NHL right now easily. Amirov is prob still 1-2 more season away.

"fill holes". Sorry going with a totally impractical 20 man roster, creates holes, doesn't fill them

Have a look at this ACGM: https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/464321?post_id=2423536

That's a deal worth discussing for Detroit.

Detroit have no need to trade Bertuzzi, he fills a top-6 spot for at least three more years with how few prospects we have. That makes him expensive to pry away from us.
It's not about one for one value, it's about any buyer having to offer enough to change Detroit's mind about wanting to keep Bertuzzi.
He won't be traded unless you're willing to overpay, and do so bigly.

Nope. One illness or minor injury, you don't have the cap to have a replacement as players can't be placed on LTIR unless the injury is "long term"

Emergency callups. Its literally been done before. https://twitter.com/mirtle/status/1317851567182155777

For a team like the leafs that are in win now mode and are cap strapped its pretty likely.

Usually the truth lies somewhere in the middle of two fanbases. That trade is too much for Bertuzzi.
