Trades:
Edmonton- this is a work in progress, I can obviously edit it to make it better, but Edmonton needs a winger, and Schenn would likely waive his NTC to move closer to home and play with the best player in hockey, he also had a bad season last year, but has been a very solid player throughout his career

Detroit- The same trade we keep seeing, so why change it. Vince Dunn should not be traded, but he must be traded because expansion sucks. However, if there's a silver lining it is that the blues have redundancy when it comes to having a player like Dunn.

ANA- yeah, Barbashev needs to go, eye test says he's alright but analytics say he's horrible, so try to get as much value as you can out of him

FA:
Krejci is still a solid player, sign him to a two year deal to match up with all of the other money coming off the books in two years

Dougie- Paying him 8 million for the next 7 years might be a mistake, but if Army is in win now mode, this is a must-make move.

Edmonton doesn't know Puljujarvi's value yet and he took a big step this year. That is why they won't trade him. They don't know what he will be but there is promise.

Edmonton doesn't accept. They need the value contracts right now. Not to mention Puljujarvi just had an okay year. Also don't think Edmonton would be interested in Schenn since he's 29 and has a terrible contract. They don't want to be stuck in another Lucic situation.
Krecji will only play for Boston, possibly Carolina (where he lives in the off-season) or Czech Republic (recently stated he wants to end his career there) so he's not a match for the Blues. My guess is someone will pay Hamilton more than $8 per.
You really undervalued Barbashev here. He's one of the best 4th liners in the league who can play top 6 wing in a pinch. Keep him .

Could see Pulju moved for an upgrade at wing but Schenn isn't it.

Blues aren't going to do it that way. Blues will shed cap with Scandella Bozak Sanford Barbashev players like that.

Oilers decline Schenns contract sucks and takes him till he’s over 35, JP just had a great development season and proved he can play in the top 6 and is on a value contract

Yes the oilers need a top 6 LW but if the move JP for that winger then they need a top 6 RW this trade makes zero sense for Edmonton

You've just signed him 3 years which makes him UFA.

Let Detroit do the signing and it's a deal, We want him for a lot longer than three years.

Please do so.

Giving up a 1st round pick for a player we'd risk losing in only 3 years time wouldn't happen. Detroit can do the negotiating ourselves, we're good at it.

And by the time I checked he had switched it to RFA rights which I really think Yzerman would rather get his rights and be the one to sign him.

I hate this idea cause Schenn is one of our actual goal scorers and barbashev is a early 2nd rounder so I mean why in absolute heck would you try to get a 4th out of it and they other ideas are stupid too

Detroit isn't trading any 1st round picks .

JP is on a value contract and presents a better otion for a developing team than The Blues, not to mention Scheen contract is a boat anchor and the Oilers are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with those contracts.
