If Buffalo get Zegras, Buffalo dont get rakell and another 3 1st round pick man that's an overpay

You'll be sadly disappointed if you think the Ducks are going to give up Zegras, 2 lotto picks and Rakell for Eichel.

Zero chance Anaheim moves Zegras in a package. Columbus moving Laine just doesn’t make sense for them

Ducks have already reportedly said Zegras and Drysdale are untouchable

Agreed. Think you've gotta remove one of Tex/Foudy if you're getting Laine though.

I was going to say remove the 2022 pick and use one of late 2021 picks instead

"Welcome to Anaheim, Jack...You'll get the opportunity to play with Comer and...well, we don't really have anyone else since we just traded our only top 6 winger, and a couple of lotto tickets for you. Sorry bud..."

I think that takes wayyyy too much away from Laine's value though. Like, if you're Columbus, you just moved PLD for him...so for the cost of 3 1sts, PLD, Tex and Foudy for Eichel and Roslo...that's a pretty big loss IMO.

"Please make sure to handcuff the crap out of us with your NMC when you demand a trade next year because you're still not on a playoff team."

The Columbus Deal doesn’t make sense for Buffalo or Columbus. Laine doesn’t really address the loss of Eichel. Laine just gets thrown into another unhappy situation. Jackets will probably try and move Seth to someone who will offer for him with an extension. Probably will take what they get from that deal to add in for Eichel.

This - if we go the immediate rebound path. But the more likely road we go for is a short rebuild.
