Debrusk has potential, talent, but he’s so inconsistent, what’s his value a low first to high second in this draft I think, we know that in his best games he can can get involve physically, skate well and create opportunities but I think a change of scenery would be good, even if I really like his comments about his own performance that he chance the minds of his hatters
For Seattle, I think that they will highly look between lauzon and Clifton, clifton played really well in playoff but we can see that his ceiling I not high, lauzon in the other hand have still top4 potential and play ok in playoff, Ritchie is the other potential man they could pick but I don’t think they will, he nothing more than a bottom 6
Bernier help relieve pressure on sway and Vlad, Bernier has been really good for Detroit considering the team, I think he’s looking for a bit more term but the bruins need correct goalie for more than half the next season so I would not even be mad if they go for 4m on a 1 year
We saw that we need a real lhd top 4 d, and our prospect can’t fill this role, Reilly is good but he’s better suited for top6 role and grezlyck can’t play that much too
So their is some
Candidate
Jake McCabe, Martinez, Ian Cole, Jamie olesiak as ufa
Or Zadorov, pelech (high price), Dunn
To me pelech is the best candidate but he would be the more expensive, islanders have a lot of thing to figure for next year and pelech is one of them, i don’t think he will be available, next one is Dunn but blues will keep him for sure, so I think that the best thing for the bruins is to go for a UFA so they won’t loose any assets
I think okeksiak would be good for the 3rd pairing and pk but bruins need a true top 4 LHD dman which will either be Martinez through free agency or via trade
DeBrusk isn't going to fetch a 1st with his cap hit after a down year and the backloaded structure to jump his QO. He's more likely to get a 2nd, a 3rd plus prospect, or a trade for a similar contract.
I wouldn't do the trade if I were Boston, but why after expansion?
If they trade Dunn (or Krug, fingers crossed) and then lose another LD in the expansion draft, they'd happily add Urho to the mix. Of course, they might also go for it before, but the situation where it becomes most likely would probably come after.
oilers pass there are better wingers they can get for cheaper than a 1st.
either free agency or cap strap team like the bolts
no need to give up a first for debrusk specially since he has never been worth a 1st.
His first 3 seasons in the league he averaged 25g and 53pts for 82 games. How many forwards you have under contract outside the 2 studs that do that. Oh ya…none. Going into this year you could not have gotten Debrusk for an offer of a 1st and 3rd. I agree EDM far better off going free agent route than giving up a 1st for Debrusk but saying he’s never been worth a 1st is ridiculous.

hes not worth a first now or in the past he is a good player but not a 1st round pick trade player.
Jackets pass. Domi was looking better as the season went on, and can sorta sometimes play center so that makes him more of interest. And we know John Moore, we drafted and developed him; he can't help us right now.
Have about Travis Konecny is he worth 1st. Just curious
he would be closer to a first than debrusk.
And your averaging to 82 games is all well and good until you have to take into account he misses 12-15games a year like clock work so he is really 20ish goals scorer 40-45 points a season player. that what you can count on.
Konenchy is closer to give up a first for cus he is basically a career 25ish goal scorer and 50-55 point player. Still would hesitate and lean to a 2nd and prospects.

Ok but their per game production is pretty much identical, even after Debrusk having a horrible year. 🤷🏻♂️
.62 to . 54. Going into this year Debrusk was ahead of him.
I understand he had a terrible year, there were reasons, not worried about it, and his value has dropped. but everyone is treating him like a leper.
