I'm confused on why NJ would move back from pick 4 to 9 and take on 2 contracts, Even tho they're only for a year I still don't understand why they would do that

Not sure what I think of Butcher but I’d entertain a Soucy for Boqvist plus deal. Really depends on what happens with Dumba though.

you are taking 13 million in cap space for the canucks to splend they would send a 1st and 3rd/prospect atleast with NJ giving 0 the other way.
I know its the 9th overall Which it why VAn would never do it. but to move 13 million in a cap crunch for them would cost alot

Pick 9 for 1 year if cap when they have plenty and possibly a passable backup is solid for jersey

yes you miss reading what i am saying.
you dont need to send NYI 1st or NJD 3rd the other way.
VAN would be paying you to take on 13mill

Soucy idea is an interesting one.
Kind of want to see Boqvist for next season...Would look for another option.
But Butcher/Soucy makes some sense on this side.

I'm very confused on why the Wild would want another bottom six LW.

Then why hasn't he played there for any meaningful amount of time? And why does he only have 11 points in 63 games as a guy who's going to be 23 soon?
