The Leafs have zero interest in any LHD especially expensive LHD like Grzelchyk and Gostisbehere. Even Niederreiter at 5.25m seems pricey.

I could see bruins potentially moving grzz for Reilly, Reilly has more size which bruins need and for Toronto grzz has team friendly contract and is just about the same quality of player, I think grzz brings a little more speed to his game

Grzzz makes less the 4 mill how is he expensive? For 3.75 mill you get a power play specialist who produces around a .6 ppg sounds like a good deal to me. Have fun resigning Reilly to 6+ for almost the same production

Expensive and the one area where the Leafs have depth is LHD. Reilly, Muzzin, Sandin, Dermot and hopefully more on the way in prospects in Europe.

The Leafs have depth at LHD now And even when Reilly leaves as UFA...still got Muzzin, the young and cheaper Sandin, maybe Dermot, plus they have LHD prospects. Just no need to trade for that position, certainly not this year.

Grzelcyk isn’t expensive

im sorry but dermott is overrated 3 years ago he had potential but he hasnt improved since then like he was sat almost all 7 games of your playoff series and even when he was suited up for the game he had limited minutes

Well he is for the current edition of the Leafs with LHDs Muzzin and Reilly making 10.6m and Sandin expected to be in the lineup. Now if Reilly got traded, I could see wanting to get Grzelcyk.

I just don't think the Leafs are going to invest 14.5m on three ELC, plus they have Sandin. Not so much a knock on Grzelchyk but it a cap league.

thats putting a lot of pressure on sandin to carry the second line pairing if reilly is traded

See the hawks are gonna underbid no matter what because you don’t give a player 10+ million unless he’s bringing in more Stanley cups after earning Stanley cups. Obviously Marner is not that guy. Tbh anyone making Toews/Kane money is overpriced because they’re not bringing in success to the franchise that is worth 10million a contract year.

I don't think Reilly is gonna be traded. Leafs are going "all in" (by their standards) and that includes Reilly this year. And certainly his cap isn't that much different than Grzelchk's this season.
Bruins have cap, why would think of moving their own Dman?

No. It's about right. Especially if you want $10M of salary off your books in a flat cap time. Otherwise, have fun in next year's 1st round.
