If the Canucks trade for Reinhart there has to be cap going to Buffalo or it's just impossible. It doesn't have to be Eriksson but you gotta take Roussel for a trade to be possible

Since Buffalo is barely above the cap floor, I'm sure the Sabres would accept if everything in my post took place

It's possible without it. Would make things alot easier with it though. Big issue is Beagle and Roussell have m-NTC they could both just outright refuse. So does Eriksson for that matter but I feel like he's less likely to be included and less likely to refuse.

Ya it's possible that there's some scenarios that would get guys to waive for Buffalo. I typically try to avoid sending them to Buffalo on here but you make a good point with both Holtby and Roussell.

Take out the Tampa or the Toronto first, AND the protection on the 22.

How would you ease the concerns about Eichel going ahead with the surgery and ruining his playing career?

If I'm a fan of the Jackets, I'd definitely want some kind of protection on the 22.

Ill meet you halfway, if eichel plays 60 games, no protection. Theres two teams here, frankly i have serious reservations about taking a huge part of the eichel return in 2021 draft stock, so offering to make sure that the 22 pick "isnt TOO good" is a bridge too far.
