Why should Detroit take anything less for Bertuzzi than what Toronto got for Kapanen?

Hallander is a mid level prospect and is not really all that valuable. Lilly is a nice player but that and the 2nd a year away is not enough to make this trade within the division.

None of the pieces in this deal are enticing. The ask is: 2022 1st + Amirov + Ovechnikov. If we have to watch him excel next to Tavares multiple times a year it's going to cost you.

I don't understand the Leafs fans obsession with Hakanpaa. If he's truly a good RHD to play in the top 6, he should get more $$$$. Just because the Leafs traded for Foligno at last
TDL, they shouldn't be obliged to want him on the team this season especially at 3.5m as proposed.
Forget Bertuzzi. I don't know why Detroit would trade him, and really why the cap strapped Leafs would want him. Sign a winger for 2.75m, keep Liljegren and the pick and have 21 man roster (which is still short one player)

Bertuzzi is nice but provides no defense. Hyman at least plays both ends well

If Dubas is replacing Hyman it has to be for a player who plays well at both ends

Foligno, Coleman, RNH, etc
