Revert the Sens trade, prolly trade Jost and Kaut to someone else for picks or something and sign Luke Schenn to add grit on the blue line with Byram.

Nichushkin is solid 3rd line winger, unfortunately we have a lot of them and although he has better size then what we have, passing up (2) 3rds may not be a path Stan would like to go.

Why are we trading arguably our best defensive prospect for a goalie when the market for goalies is flooded in free agency and there might even be other better cost efficient options through trade?

Grubauer at 4M$ after a Vezina nomination tho 😳

Is this implying he takes a huge discount or...

Also: with Grubs only at $13,654,615 in career earnings* he probably turns this offer down with a 😤 and accepts 7M$/3Y or thereabouts from the Sabres

Then takes a cheap deal in his mid 30s to win a cup

*this isn't including taxes and whatnot either

So Makar is just going to willingly cost himself 30-50 million by taking a cheap long term deal/not bridging like mcavoy/werenski?

Ottawa declines. If we hunt for a pivot he has to be better OR AT LEAST as good as Norris. Jost does not meet that requirement. My bet is Pinto has a higher ceiling. We need JBD far more than Kaut, and the LAST THING we need is a goalie prospect.

Makar and Grubi are going to get more than that. Kadri is not worth that return. Don’t understand why Oilers make that trade.

Nobody should be - check out the Edmonton trade. Anyone who thinks a backup goalie is worth a top prospect should be unfollowed immediately.

100% and Francouz probably would only get a 4th at the most.
