A player that could’ve been acquired at no cost via waivers and a 34 year old defensemen? Why go for Holtby on that contract when you can just hope Hart rebounds. Definitely a no from Canucks.

Zamula basically doesn't hold any value or interest for us, so, no, you're not really even halfway there for Jones.

The Leafs are not interested in that deal. Even if you think the value is correct (which I can't believe that you do) they'd rather keep Nylander.

And what happens next year when UFAs like Couterier, Giroux, Hagg, Holtby AND JONES are all UFAs

AND

Farabee, Frost, Brock Boeser and NAK are all RFAs?

Talk about an imploding team.

DO you really think a team that made it to game 6 of the 2nd round last year and then collapsed defensively, primarily by Hart, Sanheim and Myers (even though finishing with a winning record) really needs to move 7 starters out and bring 6 in?

A lot of proposals I've seen involving the Jackets on this site, the return is minimal. Low prospects, low picks, used puck bag, etc. I know the Jackets had a rough season, but they were a playoff team the 4 years before that. There's lots of players that teams would want, but you've got to be willing to pay fair value. I think that's where many lose sight of things, trades should be a win-win for both teams.

VAN is not moving Boeser. He is a core player.

Whats the situation with Patrick? We know Nylander will be back this year and he's got good size and speed and skill. Fingers crossed he can put it together.
