If the Jets can find a way to get Hamilton, Pionk would for sure be expendable. I couldn't think of a good swap, but I love the Konecny idea.

But that offence would now be coming from Hamilton, who is a forsure an upgrade offensively over Pionk and has better size that can defend very well.

That d sucks what are you talking about having one all star defensemen is no guarantee of a playoff run

Well Manson has Winnipeg on his no trade list so scratch that one lol.

Philly probably takes that deal, but I’m not sure I really like it from the Jets perspective. You remove Manson from that d core and it’s basically the same issues they already have. Only 1 top 4 RHD. What id do is likely trade Copp somewhere for a prospect and a pick. Then use the $ from Copp and Manson to sign a guy like Martinez. I am a firm believer that you can slot anyone into that 3LW spot with Lowry and the line will function the same.

If you wanted to make the Philly trade more ballsy, you could add copp, and then get Sanheim back. Copp and Pionk + pick/prospect for Sanheim and Konecny. That would be a fun trade.

As others have said, Manson isn't waiving for Winnipeg. The Hamilton signing is nice and I can see why you think Pionk would be expendable, but that trade isn't good for Winnipeg. Pionk has more value than Konecny by a fair amount.

Also, don't fool yourself, Hamilton cannot defend very well. He's an offensive defenseman that is average at best defensively. I wouldn't mind getting Hamilton, but he isn't a great all-around defenseman.

Yeah I did

I love copp, and think he can be a great piece. But he’s not a top 6 regular, and he can be replaced for cheap. Plus you have the issue with his agent, him probably filing for arbitration. Just seems like it would be better off to move him.
