I get that Bertuzzi is a good player, and he gets undervalued a lot on this site. But you just threw away 50% of our top 4 prospects, our first round pick that we haven’t had since 2018 and another solid prospect in SDA.

Again, Betuzzi is great, but that return could almost get you a superstar….

Thats why i got a 5th from DET's side to balance

I've had to switch up the bertuzzi trade may times, in my first thread, it was bertuzzi for Robertson, SDA, Dermott and a 1st. In the second one it was Robertson, SDA, Kokkonen and a first, but some red wings fans said they would like liljegren and that they would add something if necessary

    What he said

Also, Seattle isn't going to claim Spezza. Last season he threatened retirement on anyone who dared claim him off waivers and he's a 38 year old pending UFA. No need to throw away more assets

Someone hasn’t watched Rielly play the last 2 playoffs. Guy is a bonafide number 1 defenceman.

Did no one pay attention that spezza literally said he'd retire if any team tried to claim him on waivers?

Detroit is happy with that deal.

Bertuzzi wouldn't be considered for any trade for at least two more years unless the return was really really good. This is good enough for us to let him go earlier.

I like Bertuzzi a little more, he is the kind of rugged winger we need, especially in the playoffs. Plus Garland would want a bigger raise than Bertuzzi, which i probably couldn't afford

Send the papers so that we sign on this and communicate the trade to the NHL

Wings accept. And since there is always a value debate on Bert, you could probably get away with offering a little less or evening the trade a bit more. Just trying to play devils advocate.

This Reilly stuff is getting out of control. Lol. Stars absolutely say yes and if Nill says no I will no longer be a season ticket holder

As much as I think the value is there on the Bertuzzi deal, maybe a little too high I don't think Detroit makes the trade. I really think they want to keep Bertuzzi around but for the package you offered it would be hard to say no. I don't see a fit trading with Toronto. Detroit is looking for a high end goaltending prospect and help at LD if they move Bertuzzi in my opinion.

I agree that is an overpayment for Bertuzzi and I'm a Wings fan
