I just don't know anymore. Trying to base some of these deals on reported rumors that Chicago is after Jones and Buffalo is looking for another high pick, while Columbus is after centers and right side defense. Enjoy torching as you always do.

Just going off of rumors. I don't think there's any chance it happens. I'll admit I added the Murphy stuff since he grew up in Columbus.

Agreed Murphy is not better than Jones 1 on 1. Murphy is good though. Dach for Jones...needs to include CBJ's 2021 1st round pick going to the Hawks.

Its objectively true. Connor Murphy has turned himself into an elite defensive defenseman over these last 2 years that generates decents offensive metrics on top of that. Considering how weak Jones scoring has been the last few years (which was his most redeemable trait when he was considered a Norris caliber defenseman) what really is his value thats worth this much

Dach is untouchable as far as I'm concerned. With that out of the way, both players have the same term on their respective deals though Jones has expressed his desire to test UFA where as Murph has not. I get in a normal market Jones would hold more value but I don't think both teams will see eye to eye on the value in this one. I certainly wouldn't agree to the proposed deal even without Dach.
