Reinhart is going to cost at least $7 million. I would also say that you have to include an NHL ready forward prospect in the deal as well, Eriksson is not replacing Reinhart in Buffalo‘s lineup.

Not bad on the Buffalo deal but I think it needs a tier 2 prospet like Lind attached to it. Reinhart should be a 1st and a quality prospect while Eriksson needs a 1st to unload.

Huge overpay on that Johnson deal. It'll cost them more than their 1st just to get rid of him.

Johnson is still a solid 3C, it’s just a bad contract. I think I first is fair for taking him on.

I think that’s an overpay, Eriksson only one year left o his contract, can easily be buried in the minors. Buffalo is not going to get another offer of 2 firsts for reinhart, especially one of the firsts being a top 10 pick.

Why would Reinhart cost so much? 6x6 seems pretty fair for second line production

Why not

Reinhart was their best player last year and Erikson is a waste of space cap dump. I believe they are looking for a top 5 prospect and or a top six forward with term under 25 for Reinhart

He’s a first line point producer. He’s a 60 pt guy, that’s a 1st line player on any team. I would imagine he’s going to cost at least $6.5 million on a long-term deal.

Sam Reinhart best ever points per game season came in 2018-2019 when he had 0.79 points per game. Amongst forwards who played over 20 games that season, he came 128th. This past year, which is the highest he ever finished in terms of points per game amongst forwards, he came 77th.

From a production standpoint, he is a really good 2nd line player. Not worth more than 6 imo and if the cost is above 6 and greater than a first plus cap dump, Canucks should avoid
