Why give away Heinen and Milano?

Had to think hard about Rakell's trade value, and I think a 2nd, 3rd, and 4th plus Jones is fair value. Rakell has not been as productive the last 3 seasons (granted, the Ducks have been trash). I can't see him being worth a 1st round pick.

Milano: barely played last season due to injury. Trade value at an all-time low. At this point, freeing up a roster spot for younger players is the goal, and lucky to get anything in return.
Heinen: 3rd round pick is fine. Has not done much in Anaheim either. Frees up a roster spot as well.

It's just the some roster spots are allocated to:

Lewis deslauriers grant Okposo (burying him ftw)

Then N-R badini who barely scored in the Echl 😬

Milano has an impressively high pts/60 so far in the NHL and is just entering his prime, with a lot of their young guys still waiver passable why not keep him

So much positive flexibility for Anaheim rn

You can get a first even if you wait until deadline 100%. Great contract (which you could eat half of it for a better return) and his production would vastly improve with a better team.
