Not that Jones is bad, but like...why do the Rangers do this? They've already got a better Dman in Adam Fox & they've got Trouba signed long-term at a very high rate. And they have Nils Lundkvist (arguably a top 3 D prospect leaguewide) who just signed his ELC, and will be looking to fight for a roster spot. That's a really steep price to pay for Jones as a 1 year rental.

We’d rather hold onto laine and use him correctly under a coach who has stated he won’t turn laine into something he isn’t.

If we were to acquire Domi, it would be to fill a scoring role. His 26 goals and 68 points in 125 games (last two season combined) do not make me want to give a 1st rounder for him. His value is at an all-time low.

Rangers are fine on D. Any big trades they pull off will be to improve their Depth at C.

He's also a pending UFA next summer, so no thanks.

Domi gets you a 3rd at his current value. I’m also
Not high on him. Don’t like his play style that much particularly. Seems to have an attitude that might not go great in the wild locker room.

Those three deals designated as deadline deals are - with the exception of the Minnesota Domi one - pretty far below the precident set by Kekalainen earlier this year.

And that Laine trade is not one I'd find particularly agreeable - we're probably better off attempting to rehab him here.

That's a terrible trade for the Leafs. I wouldn't mind seeing one of those players go for Jenner, Toronto would have to add a pick for it to work with Engvall, but Dermott and Woll both have good value

This works as long as Nils Lundkvist can play center..

come on, Rangers have no need for Jones at all.

I’m a Leafs fan and I’d take Jenner on 3 million every time over any of them. Engvall is absolutely worthless and Dermott is a bottom pairing D. They aren’t hard to replace

The idea would be to trade him somewhere he’s likely to resign and they seem like a desirable destination

But why would they re-sign him? They don't have the space, cap-wise or roster-wise
