Can't include Dach, just can't do it. I view this deal as just as good as if NYR added Kakko+ or LAK did Turcotte+.

I agree that the value may be close, but I dont see BUF accepting. I think unless it's a crazy offer Dach would have to be included. Dach, Strome, 12th OA, and a B prospect.

Newsflash to all Sabres fans:

You will not get a calibre of prospect/young player like the likes of Kirby Dach, Quentin Byfield, Trevor Zegras, Jamie Drysdale, etc. for Eichel.

Eichel hasn't proven anything anything and he has a long history of injury concerns plus a substantial cap hit and financial contract. Those types of players don't get young, elite potential prospects.

The type of deal you'll likely be getting is what Erik Karlsson got:
1. Middle 6 forward that's young but can help make up some of the cap difference (this was Chris Tierney)
2. High end 2nd tier prospect/young roster player (this was Josh Norris)
3. Mediocre prospect that needs a change of scenery but still has a shot at either a top 6 or top 4 future (this was Rudolf Balcers)
4. A 1st round pick (yes this turned out to be Stuetzle, but that was because San Jose **** the bed in their season with Karlsson, if he's traded before the draft it has a shot to be a top 10 pick otherwise it's likely in the 15-32 range next year)
5. A conditional pick that could turn into a 1st

Teams don't trade prospects like Dach for Eichel. They trade for Eichel to bring in to be a competitive team WITH players like those to create the 1-2 punch down the middle. If you're expecting a player like that in an Eichel deal, you're going to be highly disappointed.

Agreed. seems like my proposal is pretty spot on, atcually better value than what Kalson got, which is fitting because I think Eichel returns more than KArlson, but I agree he Doesn't get the likes of Dach/Byfeild/Zegas etc.

That would have to get Eichel and it would suck giving up all of that but they would be silly to turn down that offer.

Honestly, the value of yours is fine but I don't see it happening. The main piece is Boqvist and Buffalo will be looking for that type of prospect but at centre. Reichel is a decent piece but his ceiling isn't high enough for an Eichel deal.

I don't see Chicago as a fit for an Eichel deal tbh

Well if we will part with Dach we're the frontfunner. Thats the best piece any team is giving them
