dont think you get arvidsson for that. dont know why nashville would move him right now tbh. same with caps and vanecek. He played real well for them all year, they have significant cap issues. dont think moving a cheap starter for rielly makes sense from their perspective.

The only way the caps take Rielly is if salary is going back to Toronto. We don’t need him.

I also think Viktor Arvidsson could be a player the Leafs look at. Just not sure what the Leafs have that NSH would want.

Not sure Arvidsson is a big enough upgrade on Kerfoot to warrant including Liljegren, I think he gets a chance to crack the roster next year. The Leafs could probably find a UFA contributor for a similar (or smaller) number.

Not sure I want to move Rielly. I get he's a UFA in a year but that doesn't mean he needs to be traded. Having Muzzin-Sandin-Dermott on the left side is a bit scary considering Muzzin's injury history, you can get thin there really fast.

I kindof like the Nashville trade. I hate moving away from Arvidsson but i think he needs a fresh start somewhere. I'm not a big fan of Kerfoot but i guess he could be a placeholder on the team until the young guys are ready. Liljegren would give us the ability to move away from Ellis for a forward upgrade and have a young RHD group of Carrier, Fabbro, Liljegren.
