Kampf is worth more then a 5th, certainly worth way more to this team then a 5th. Reichel is definitely not a 4th liner. Suter gets $1M more. De Haan is likely gone and not a first liner, but get what you are trying to do teaming him with Jones. This defense to me is not much improved despite getting Jones. We need Murphy, need to get rid of De haan and Z and Jones is a risk IMO that's not worth the price of admission. Grab Lindholm from the Ducks, I doubt he's part of their rebuild plans and would better fill the real hole which is at the top line LHD.

That to me is a better defense, which is what this team needs, then adding Jones, giving up Murphy and making De Haan a first liner.

What would it take for the Oilers to acquire both zadorov and Strome??

2nd rounder + Benson?

Lindholm = Strome (worth a 2nd and 3rd), Kurashev (worth a 2nd), 2nd
Zadarov likely worth a 3rd at a minimum

I would keep Kampf on this team. My guess is we can get Seattle to take De Haan + Subban or Guadette.

I'd also try to find a trade partner for Connolly and try to keep Carps in that spot.

The challenge with the cap, we will need at least $10M in cap space going into next year having to re-sign BoQ, Dach, Kubalik, Kalynuk, Murphy, Lindholm. Ladd & Matta come of the books so that helps but nonetheless something to think about.
