Reckon ANA would need futures aplenty there

Lots of $ and term for aging assets 😬

Don't get me wrong Bob Murray loves that but...

How do you know Seattle doesn't take Beniers? and Sam Steel would be behind Mittelstadt, Cozens, and Asplund at center for me maybe even Tage - I mean great name

Maybe, but that leaves Eklund who isnt above Beniers and if he is then Seattle takes Eklund. Steel would be a 13th forward

Both Mcdonagh and Gourde waive full NTC's to Anaheim?

If you look a Francis' first 3 drafts at Carolina he went D...maybe the draft dictated that or that he prefers to build from the D out. He drafted Fluery at 7, Hanifin at 5 and Bean at 13. That could be Edvinsson, Hughes or Clarke at 2OA

Sabres fan here. I make that trade. 3OA has real value and I like Steel. I think Steel still has offensive upside and there is no way that he would start in Buffalo behind Asplund at centre. If so, he moves to right wing.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this post.

Note that 5 out of the 20 skaters on this roster -- that's twenty-five percent!! -- would be UFAs after this one season.

This construction shows what an absolute idiocy it would be for Anaheim to trade away a franchise center prospect (Beniers) or franchise scoring RW prospect (Guenther -- rated much more highly than Jack Quinn was) for one year each of Sam Reinhart and Rasmus Ristolainen! This would be abysmal asset mismanagement at its worst.

This post also shows why it would be beneficial for Anaheim to trade at least one of its pending free agents this off-season.

Only in the alternate reality of Buffalo fans could the trade of a potential franchise center for two VERY expensive rentals be considered "very even."

This team would be a lot more interesting with Reinhart on it, it looks like a playoff team on paper, and both may have 2 rings, plus there may not be many contenders making offers to Tampa to take on cap, they dont really have many decent options.if were talkin Buffalo no way they waive, but an improved Anaheim team were they can help even more, thats different
