I still don't see the logic of the Leafs making a trade during this season. There should be trades available pre expansion when teams are trying to trade their exposed "4th" Dmen. These lateral trades of trading the Leafs future # 2 RWer or Centre (Nylander) for a comparable player are not really that productive. Think team building not trades.
Admitting the trade proposed favours the Leafs.

Well, the leafs got fleeced, they gave a first round draft pick away? You really overpaid for the Calgary players! Calgary Flames

You got Tkachuk, M but you gave away Nylander? He was the leafs future! You probably should try getting Monohan or Johnny hockey for that value!

As a leafs fan i love the trade but can't see it happening. Doubt Tkachuk is going anywhere in a deal line that. Hamilton and a mid round pick is more likely for Nylander and Carrick
