    But that said there would be zero benefit for toronto to make that deal. Money wise Anaheim would come out even and get a roster spot filled for the same dollars spent but toronto would then be paying the 20% in real dollars and also be filling that spot with a 750k guy saving them about 450k in cap space. So cost why theyd still be paying Kessler 1.25 and the replacement guy 750k... thats 2 million just to clear 450k in cap space. Leafs would need to get more

    The real issue is that the guy they would be paying that money to isnt worth the 1.25. They would be better off paying real money LTIR from a team (i just assume) probably wants to save some real dollars if they can. Toronto can afford to spend 6 million to save 750k on a guy who would be worth playing opposed to a guy making 1.25 who Keefe has had issues with in the past.

    I should have made Anaheim giving Toronto some late round pick for it to make complete sense for Toronto, or else they could have just as well put Engvall on waivers and save the real money
