I’d rather have the Anaheim deal, of course if anyone around here is to be believed neither one of these would ever be available to Buffalo.

Definitely ANA. Depends how Zegras and Lafreniere pan out obviously but the 3rd pick really ups the value for the Ducks.

Rangers consider, Probably don't include Lafreniere or Kakko in any trades.

We have a lot of pieces to offer but it depends on what else Buffalo is being offered. Not to mention they are hellbent on sending him west of the continent.

Pretty important to note Eichel's neck injury too. The surgery seems to be a 4 month recovery which means he would miss the first month of the season.

My understanding is it’s a six week recovery time frame. But I’m not a doctor, so what do I know?

Neck surgeries of this magnitude are definitely taken the safer route and they normally wouldn't be healed up that quick like an Ankle Sprain for example.

It's really not important at all. 1 month out of 5 remaining years. Ridiculous to think that matters in any way. What matters (and detracts value) is the insane surgey Eichel wants done for what is an relatively minor injury that usually heals on its own with a low risk of recurrence (look it up). The entire injury angle is wildly overblown except for Eichel's own idiocy. Even money says he leaves Buffalo and just rehabs or does fusion and is using this as an excuse to get out.

Don't ever believe anyone around here. That's such a solid assumption as to be axiomatic. Anahaim deal is easily the better of the two.

Yes, extremely axiomatic. Abundantly axiomatic, you might say.

Drop Laff / Zegras and you're in the ballpark for what an Eichel offer would look like at this moment with his neck issue.

Fusion surgery is a massive deal for a player in a contact sport, just saying but it wouldn’t be the first time a player leveraged an injury.

Definitely true of don’t believe people on here. There are definitely some folks who are much more reasoned than others though.

"Cervical Artificial Disc Replacement Recovery Time, Most people are able to return to everyday activities, such as light work and driving, within a week of having surgery. A full recovery typically takes 6 to 12 weeks, when heavier lifting and more vigorous activities may be resumed."- from my reading the short term results have been quite good but because it's a relatively new procedure they worry about long term (more than 36 months) outcomes - artificial body parts don't always react in the body the way medical people think they will.
