Chevy changes his meds

Description
This is what I would like to see happen. Jets need to show their drafted and developed players there is a way onto the roster. Perfetti, Heinola and Vesalainen get their chances. Samberg, Harkins, and Gustafsson push for minutes. Stas and Haula are signed as UFAs up front to still give Maurice his vets he so loves. Larson is signed to be a defensive defence partner to cover for Heinola’s rookie mistakes.

Seattle deal is similar to the Vegas arrangement. Jets drop 10 picks to protect Appleton and Stanley.

i dont mind moving down a few spots if it means keeping stanley and appleton. i wonder what would be better for perfetti’s development though, centring his own line further down the lineup or playing on the wing higher up the lineup?

He played wing for team Canada and his skill set deserves top 6 minutes. I can’t see PoMo using him in a fourth line role and the Lowry line is as close to a lock as the Jets have. Late in games if the bench gets shortened to 3 lines, I could see Stas moving back up.

I like the 4th line more then the 2nd or 3rd lines!

I'll be very surprised if Perfetti is ready for the NHL next season.

I agree. He’s not going to play 8-10 mins with the Jets next season in a checking role. He needs to play top 6 minutes and lead a PP wherever he suits up. Look at the ‘young’ players that everyone points to as lighting it up in the playoffs (see ‘Caufield’ as exhibit A). He didn’t start the year on the Habs, he played a full season (Covid-full) against college players before suiting up in the playoffs. Do I think Prefetti could play for the Jets next year, yes, but likely in the latter part of the year, he simply needs more time to develop physically and gain confidence playing at higher levels (issue with having to play in the OHL will create a challenge)

I’m also not a big fan of giving up 2 assets to Seattle. Moving down in this draft might not be horrible, with all the scouting challenges. But the Jets could easily end up with a top 10 talent slide to them in the first round. Appleton is great as a middle 6 forward, but not worth a 1st rounder in the high teens. Even the early 2nd isn’t enough to protect him. Let Seattle choose between Stanley and Appleton, and move forward.

Yo what's good TN? I was wondering if you had any interest in coming back to the GM Game here? We've made a lot of improvements and I'd really think adding you back would be a great addition to the game.

Seattle laughs at that offer and takes Appleton
